Introduced in the mid-1950s, the Norton
Dominator 88 quickly established itself as one of Britain's finest sporting
motorcycles. Powered by Norton's acclaimed 497cc parallel-twin engine housed
within the marque's legendary Featherbed frame, the 88 combined excellent
roadholding with strong performance and became a favourite amongst touring
riders and sporting enthusiasts alike. Today, the Dominator remains one of the
most respected classic British motorcycles, admired for its elegant styling,
rewarding riding characteristics and enduring engineering pedigree.

attractive Dominator 88 has been with its current owner since 1999 and is now
reluctantly offered for sale due to the owner's advancing age and health. An
interesting machine, it was originally exported to Indonesia when new before
being repatriated to the UK by a previous owner, adding a fascinating chapter to
its history.
Showing just 5,480 miles, the Norton has been dry stored and
unused for some time. The vendor advises that the fuel tank has been
professionally lined with tank sealer and the motorcycle is fitted with
electronic ignition for improved reliability and ease of starting. Importantly,
