11 previous
MOTs; showing just 28,500 miles; both kingpins replaced recently; new battery
and MOT exempt
This delightful 1986
Citroën 2CV6 Dolly has become one of the most recognisable and characterful
classics ever produced. Finished in the iconic red and white colour scheme with
a grey cloth interior, this charming example has had six former keepers and has
remained with its current owner since May 2009.
First registered in June 1986, the 2CV is powered by the dependable
602cc twin-cylinder engine, renowned for its simplicity and economical running
costs. Showing just 28,500 miles, it is accompanied by 11 previous MOT
certificates and a selection of invoices documenting maintenance carried out
over the years.
Recent expenditure includes the
fitment of a new battery and replacement of both kingpins, helping ensure the
car remains enjoyable to drive. During its time on site, the Citroën started
readily, drove well and stopped exactly as expected while being photographed and
filmed for the accompanying walkaround video.
Included in the sale is a complete set of new original seat covers to
replace the worn covers currently fitted, allowing the next owner to further
enhance the car's presentation with genuine period-correct
trim.
Combining unmistakable French charm, low
mileage, long-term ownership and sensible recent maintenance, this 2CV6 Dolly
represents a wonderful opportunity to acquire one of Britain's most loved and
increasingly collectable classic cars.
