The Austin
Gipsy is a rugged British off-road vehicle produced by Austin.
It was
designed as a direct competitor to the Land Rover, aimed at both civilian and
military markets. Featuring a 2,199cc petrol engine driving a four-wheel drive
system with high and low range.
The body is of steel construction with
around 21,000 units built, this being a later model it benefits from independent
leaf springs all-round.
The MOT
expired in July 2024 but has only covered 33 miles since last
tested.
