The bike
that taught a generation to ride; one of Britain’s most beloved small
motorcycles; fabulous condition
Looking
fabulous in the grey and white colour combination, this example was first
registered in July 1955 and shows seven former keepers, with the current since
August 2018. Powered by a 148cc two-stroke single-cylinder engine, it should
produce around 5.3 bhp — modest, but perfect for learners and light
commuting.
Classic
British styling with a teardrop tank, upright riding position, Based on the
German DKW RT 125 design, the Bantam became one of Britain’s most beloved small
motorcycles.
The paperwork
includes the current V5C, one old MOT certificate and many invoices dating from
2018 to 2021. Also included in this lot are some spares as
pictured.
It was the
bike that taught a generation to ride — simple, reliable, and full of
character.
