Showing only 43,034 miles; impressive order inside and out; only three
keepers
Toyota launched this, the third incarnation
(A70) of their Supra in February 1986.
This was
the first Supra to be designed as a stand-alone model, rather than derived from
the corresponding Celica like its predecessors, and represented a conscious move
upmarket. While this Supra would continue as a rear-wheel-drive sports/GT
demonstrating the latest technologies, the Celica became a front-wheel-drive
sports coupé.
After a total production run
approaching a quarter of a million units, the A70 Supra was eventually
superseded by the A80 (seen later on in the auction)model 7 years
later.
Featuring Dark Blue Metallic paint with a
sumptuous corresponding blue velour interior, this fine example features
Toyota's then flagship, new 3.0 engine (7M-GE). This normally-aspirated version,
provides 200hp and a four-speed
automatic gearbox.
The vehicle comes with its
original service book, which includes 7 main dealer stamps, the most recent at
34,000 miles and the most recent MOT, done on 27th August showed no
advisories.
With only two previously recorded
keepers and having covered an average of less than 2,000 miles per annum since
first registration, this represents a unique opportunity to acquire one of these
cars.
