Lot Ended
Description
Beautiful example inside
and out; fully restored in the 90s; replicated by Oxford Diecast to OO gauge
(what a tribute to this car); large portfolio following the cars
history.
First registered in April of
1932, this lovely little Austin is only showing a total of 3 owners from new,
with the current vendor owning the car for the last 21
years.
The little 858cc engine was
running well a few weeks ago but would not start when the car was dropped off
with us. The engine turns over but just no spark so the vendor
suspects points or condenser.
Full engine and body
restoration took place in the mid-1990s with a large portfolio coming with the
car showing some of the work carried out along with photos showing the car being
dismantled. The car is in impressive
condition inside and out and you would be hard pressed to find a nicer example.
This exact car has been spotted in the model car world, replicated by Oxford
Diecast to OO gauge, even containing the registration (picture attached), which
is a really nice tribute to the motor.
