Description
Early
pull-handle B; extensive recent restoration; an underside you could eat your
dinner off; driven to the sale and running well on site
First registered in May 1963,
this sweet little pull-handle Roadster has recently undergone an extensive
restoration that saw a full bare metal respray, as well as substantial
expenditure on new bits and bobs, both cosmetic and mechanical.
Looking
through the history folder there are plenty of invoices from last year for all
sorts of things from new trims, new seals, gaskets and service items. We are
told that the engine was also rebuilt and although we have no bills for
this, there is a photo of the engine in bits and it does look lovely and shiny
today. There are also photos of the bodywork being done.
The restoration
looks to have been extensive with the underside as good as the top. The seats
look original and clash somewhat with the nice shiny paintwork but getting them
refurbed is no big deal in comparison to all the other good work that has gone
into this car.
Driven to
the sale from Hereford and running nicely on site with healthy 70psi oil
pressure, this early and characterful B looks like a cool way to cruise
around in the long hot summer that lies ahead of us. It is on offer here at a
modest guide price which leaves ample headroom to take it to the next level
if desired.
