Description
1996 Pinzgauer Medium Support Vehicle TUM PINZ HD 4X4
FFR
Original, go-anywhere army truck, perfect for a shoot,
park estate or muddy lane. Direct from HM Ministry of Defence and appears hardly
used.
Commissioned to sit alongside the MoD fleet of Land Rover
Wolf, Pinzgauer vehicles were the broader alternative used by the Army in
terrain that needed a bit more capability for overcoming 45° slope angles
on a longer chassis. Indeed, some performance capabilities of the Pinz were said
to be better than it’s Wolf competitor when it came to it, and they had a fair
bit more storage capability in the back.
This example looks incredibly
under-used to the eye. The mileage counter number cannot be verified, but the
paintwork and interior condition show a vehicle that has probably been mainly in
a barracks' storage building for most of it’s life, but we can’t say for
sure.
It was brought into service in September 1996 and looks like it has
been ready for action ever since. If the buyer wishes to register it in the UK,
we will provide them with a document called the “Date In Service Certificate
Official”, which is sent to the DVLA with an MOT to get a registration number.
The MoD require that the buyer provides a copy of their ID (Passport
etc), as part of security checks and if the buyer wishes to export the vehicle,
we advise that an export licence may be required, which is not part of the
contract of sale. This is a commercial vehicle, so VAT at 20% will be added to
the sale price of this lot.
There is no viewing on this lot. It will be
for collection by the buyer from our auction centre at Stoney Street, Madley HR2
9NH.
