Description
1999 Range Rover 4.0 County (P38)
Three owner
example from 9 year ownership showing 76,595 miles; driven 160 miles to sale;
P38's are rising stars and ones to watch
Supplied new by Conwy Land
Rover Centre Ltd in May 1999 and finished in slate grey with cream leather
interior this P38 is the last of the pre-Thor Rover V8 engine versions and comes
to us in 4.0 County automatic guise. Inside we see fitment of a screen and
reverse camera where the optional sat nav could have originally
sat.
Showing just 76,595 miles covered in the hands of its three
owners the vehicle is in a relatively presentable state, but has suffered some
of the usual Range Rover foibles with a sagging headlining - still these are
available for c. £400 if tickles your bonce too often.
Starting promptly
as we moved it around for these images the air suspension appeared to work as it
should (it only works with the doors closed on P38's) and sits on a set of
stock 3-spoke 16inch alloy wheels wearing rugged tyres. We also see a
useful tow bar with electrics and handy side steps fitted to this
example.
Within the history file we find a V5C, owner's pack and service
book showing 9 entries, 8 are stamps, the last hand written39,625 miles in
November 2009. In addition there are 3 keys, some 14 old MOTs dating back to
2003 and a selection of invoices including recent spend on a rear left brake
caliper this November 2020 plus front and rear pads, and in October a
replacement middle exhaust silencer was fitted.
The current MOT runs
until November 2021 with no advisories. Show the car a little titivation
and she will shine as she's meant to once more no doubt particularly given its
lower mileage and three owners.
