Upgraded from new by Overfinch Leeds at a cost over £18,000; full
Overfinch bodykit and tuning upgrade to 328bhp; multiple invoices from Range
Rover specialists and dealers; Over £80,000 new
The
Range Rover L322 needs little introduction, combining exceptional luxury and
refinement with the go-anywhere capability that has long defined the marque.
This example, however, is something considerably more special, having been
comprehensively enhanced by Overfinch.
Established in 1975, Overfinch is regarded as the original specialist
in aftermarket Range Rover tuning, with a heritage spanning five decades. Far
more than a styling exercise, the company built its reputation by engineering
bespoke performance, suspension, braking, exhaust, interior and cosmetic
upgrades, effectively creating highly individual, low-volume interpretations of
Land Rover's flagship.
First registered in 2007
and having covered 145,211 miles, this striking example is finished in the
desirable ‘Java Black’ and was delivered new to Overfinch Leeds for a
comprehensive Overfinch conversion, costing more than £18,000. The extensive
conversion included upgraded front and rear bumpers, bespoke alloy wheels, a
rear entertainment package, heated and cooled seats and a performance engine
tune, raising power to an impressive 328bhp, to name but a
few.
This is, of course, in addition to the
already generous specification of the Range Rover Vogue, further enhanced here
with a Harman Kardon audio system, satellite navigation with TV and DVD
playback, a premium black leather interior and an opening glass sunroof. The
combination of the L322's luxury and presence with the bespoke engineering and
styling of Overfinch makes for a particularly desirable and distinctive
example.
The Java Black paintwork presents well,
with no major dents or significant scratches to note, only some typical L322
bubbling as photographed but in keeping with a vehicle of this age and mileage.
The same can be said of the interior, which remains in pleasing condition with
no rips or tears to note and retains the suitably luxurious feel one would
expect from a Range Rover of this specification.
Powering the car is the well-respected and sought-after TDV8 engine,
offering a strong combination of performance and refinement. The car is
accompanied by a collection of invoices from Overfinch, Land Rover main dealers
and marque specialists, suggesting it was particularly well cared for during its
earlier years. These document a range of servicing and maintenance work,
including routine consumables, brake components and a replacement alternator,
among other items.
Offered for sale at just 6% of
what it cost new, this flagship upgraded Range Rover presents excellent value
for money and a standout example of the increasingly popular and desirable L322
platform. Driven to the sale and with MOT until February next year, surely one
to not let get away.
