1967 Sunbeam
Alpine Series V; showing 83,823; 1725cc engine; six former keepers; invoices and
receipts documenting the work undertaken and parts
fitted
First registered in November 1967,
this attractive Sunbeam Alpine Series V is a classic British sports car
presented in metallic blue with a black leatherette interior. The car has had
six former keepers and has been in the current ownership since December
2021.
During the current ownership, the car has
benefited from a substantial programme of maintenance and improvement. The
1725cc engine has been professionally reconditioned and is complemented by a
stainless-steel exhaust system. Further work includes a reconditioned steering
box and inlet manifold, replacement brake pipes, brake shoes and wheel
cylinders, a new radiator, and an oil and filter service. New rear tyres were
fitted in 2025. A desirable Moto-Lita steering wheel has also been installed,
enhancing the driving experience while retaining the car’s period
character.
The vehicle is accompanied by a
comprehensive file of invoices and receipts documenting the work undertaken and
parts fitted. Included within the sale are a pair of spare inner
wings.
This example is the sought-after GT model
and is supplied with its white removable hard top, which is reported to be in
very good condition. The interior presents well, with the seats remaining in
good order and offering a comfortable and attractive cabin
environment.
At the time of consignment, the
Sunbeam was reported to be driving, starting and stopping while on site for
photography and video purposes. Offering classic 1960s British sports car
styling, practical GT specification and a well-documented history of recent
expenditure, this Series V Alpine represents an appealing opportunity for
enthusiasts and collectors alike.
