The Toyota
Land Cruiser Amazon represents the pinnacle of the marque’s long-established
reputation for durability, dependability, and go-anywhere capability.
Developed to tackle the harshest environments on
the planet, it combines immense strength with proven engineering, making it as
comfortable traversing remote terrain as it is covering long distances on the
road.
This particularly handsome example is
presented in top-specification ‘VX’ trim and is powered by the highly regarded
4.2-litre straight-six diesel engine, effortlessly combining luxury with rugged
capability. VX specification brought a notably high level of equipment,
including full leather upholstery, electrically adjustable seats, and climate
control, among other features. This example also benefits from a slide-and-tilt
electric sunroof, adding a welcome touch of luxury to even the most remote
locations.
Built on a traditional ladder-frame
chassis with heavy-duty suspension, permanent four-wheel drive with low range,
and a centre locking differential, the Amazon remains a truly formidable

our vendor, one keeper having retained the car for over 18 years, it suggests a

As expected of a vehicle of this type and age, there is some wear and
tear commensurate with mileage, with the most notable areas illustrated in the
accompanying photographs. However, this does little to detract from the overall
presentation, and the car remains a smart example in metallic blue with
contrasting silver alloy wheels. The interior has worn particularly well, with
only a small and documented repair to the driver’s seat to
note.
