Showing 84,454 miles; maintained and serviced by retired garage
proprietor; recently worked on to address issues raised in last MOT; current MOT
until September this year
Practical, characterful
and increasingly sought-after, the Renault Trafic camper offers an appealing
entry into classic campervan ownership, combining usability with a sense of
adventure.
This 1993 example has clearly
benefited from consistent care and thoughtful maintenance. Showing 84,454 miles,
it has been maintained and serviced since 2017 by a now-retired garage
proprietor, suggesting knowledgeable and attentive upkeep.
In recent years, the vehicle has undergone a programme of mechanical
improvements. Most recent MOT advisories have been addressed, including the
fitment of a new clutch, new rear tyres and new batteries. The electrical system
has been overhauled, with a charging splitter relay installed to improve
reliability and functionality when in use as a camper.
Further work includes a service and the recent replacement of the
cambelt, offering reassurance to the next custodian. The underside has been
carefully derusted and treated with heavy Waxoyl protection, helping to preserve
the structure for years to come.
Inside, a radio
CD player has been newly installed, adding a practical modern touch to this
classic camper.
While the
paintwork is not without its imperfections, it does little to detract from the
vehicle’s overall usability and honest appeal. Importantly, this is a camper
that has been maintained to be used and enjoyed, rather than simply
admired.
A well-sorted and sensibly improved
example, ready for its next adventure.
