The Rover P4 110 represents the pinnacle
of Rover’s celebrated mid-size luxury saloon range, produced from 1949 to 1964.
Introduced in 1962 as the final and most powerful model of the line, the 110
combined refined engineering with understated elegance. It was powered by a
silky 2.6-litre straight-six engine producing 123 bhp, paired with standard
overdrive, delivering smooth, effortless performance and the quiet confidence of
a true high-speed cruiser.
Designed for comfort
and style, the P4 110 featured a luxurious interior with wood-veneered trim and
sumptuous leather seating, embodying the executive character for which Rover was
renowned. Earlier examples were equipped with lightweight alloy panels on the
bonnet, doors, and boot lid, later replaced by steel, highlighting the marque’s
thoughtful approach to design and engineering.
This particular example is a 1964 Rover P4 110, registered in April
1964 and presented in classic dark green with matching dark green leather
upholstery. It is powered by the correct 2,625cc engine and has had eleven
former keepers, with the current owner taking possession in September 2020. This
Rover was restored in 2012 and has only been used in dry conditions
since.
The car is in very attractive condition
inside and out, retaining the dignified presence and timeless elegance that
define the P4 series. While documentation is limited, the vehicle starts, runs,
and stops on site as expected for photography and video, offering an excellent
opportunity to acquire the final, most accomplished iteration of Rover’s iconic
mid-century saloon.
