The vendor has bought a new project
at our last sale and is now needing garage space, resulting in this low mileage
substantially mechanically refurbished 3.2L Automatic V6 SLK for sale at a
reserve that is considerably less than his recent expenditure.
The car
has been lightly used for many years as can be seen by the MOT records. As
mentioned, the car has this year received the following.
A full underbody
Lanoguard rust proof treatment ahead of new brake calipers, discs and pads
together with shock absorbers to the front and rear. Additionally new rear
suspension control arms have been fitted. This work complimented by an engine
service made the car road ready after a spend more than £4000.
The vendor
notes that the car will likely require a new prop shaft bearing as there is an
intermittent noise underload but not when accelerating steadily.
With
under 50000 miles on the clock this SLK represents swift performance for very
reasonable investment with minimal further refurbishment to make the car a very
smart useable sportscar.
Driven 30 miles to the sale and has been
starting and driving on site with the roof operating correctly as you can see
from the images and video.
