In the current lady ownership for 12 years; 111k miles with 19 service
stamps; electric hood works as it should; new MOT; driven to the sale; ready for
a new owner to enjoy
Supplied new by
Greenoaks Mercedes of Maidenhead in January 1993, this 300SL has had eight
owners to date, the current lady owner acquiring it from well-known local Merc
specialist Gerry Doverman of Hereford in February 2013.
It has covered 111,534 miles and comes with a good service history
comprising no fewer than 19 stamps in the book, the last in March 2009 at 93,482
miles which equates to an average service interval of just 4,900 miles. The
first nine services were by the supplying dealer, the next three by Riverside
Mercedes of Brighton, the next five by independent specialists and the last two
by Gerry Doverman.
We are told that this 300SL
has been totally reliable over the current 12-year ownership and has been kept
garaged and barely used at all over the last 10 years, apart from annual trips
to the MOT station, as it is one of several cars owned by the vendor.
We are also told that it drives very well and
the electric roof works as it should and the soft top is in very good condition.
It was driven 20 miles to the sale and has an MOT until August 2026 with just
one minor advisory (front brake pipe corroded or covered in
grease).
It has certainly been starting promptly
and running well as we have moved it around on site.
