Turbo
conversion from donor car; sensible miles; for recommissioning after a period
off the road;
sold
with no reserve!
This much-loved 900
16v Convertible dates from 1989 and led a pretty standard life for a Saab until
2007. By this time, it had around 156,000 miles on the clock and its owner
decided to spice it up a bit, turning it into a 16S Turbo spec model thanks to
the availability of a donor car for parts.
The
swap was undertaken by Saab specialist Saabflight, the invoice totalling £3,000
and covering a swap of all necessary mechanical parts, an engine overhaul and
loom swap, dash and clocks and the leather interior. They then set it all up and
delivered it back to the owner.
The accompanying
file includes a service book with 29 records, mostly at Buckingham and Stonley
in Cambridge. The engine does turn freely and starts off the
button.
Our vendor tells us that it has recently
been fitted with a new clutch and master and slave cylinder, along with a new
starter motor, although we are told that the clutch does need
bleeding.
A great project on offer at No Reserve
so the highest bid buys the car...
