Rare Escort three door estate; XR3 Cloverleaf Wheels, MOT

This
three-door Ford Escort Mk4 estate was first registered in November 1989 and
is considered a rare find. While the Mk4 Escort was primarily known as a
hatchback, the estate version was produced in fewer numbers. The combination of the estate body style and
the Mk4 generation, particularly in 1989 (which was the end of the Mk4
production run), makes it a unique classic car.
The vendor has
informed us that the 1800cc diesel engine has been replaced with a 1600cc diesel
engine a few years ago, so it is not known how many of the 83,000 miles or so
has been covered by which engine. With what is said to be a XR3 interior
and Ford XR3
Cloverleaf Alloy Wheels (with two spares in the boot), this would make a great
asset to any Ford collection.
MOTd until February 2026, it starts and drives as it should and the
cars bodywork could benefit from a tidy up all round but that is expected
from a 36-year-old car.
