Description
Good
recent expenditure including new clutch, tyres, brakes and stainless steel
sports exhaust; six-cylinder engine; manual box; large history folder;
subtle upgrades
First registered in March
2001, this BMW 325CI comes to us with a large history folder including numerous
invoices and a service book with six stamps, the last in October 2015 at
82,543 miles; two keys and handbooks, seeing lots of recent expenditure as well
as some classy subtle upgrades.
In our vendor's
ownership lots of good work has been done to get this E46 back to its best with
a total spend over £3,500. Standout items include a new clutch in June last
year, a new fuel pump, two new driveshafts in October last year along with all
new Toyo Proxes tyres and new wheel speed sensors.
This 3 Series saw a sporting new look with new 30mm lowering springs
along with 20mm spacers on the rear and 15mm spacers on the front and a
stainless rear sports exhaust, at the same time new discs and pads were fitted
all round, a month later we have an invoice for a lube service and new
thermostat, in December a new front and a new rear brake caliper were fitted,
and most recently a new radiator was fitted in January of this
year.
Our vendor notes that the speedometer is
not working and thus the odometer has not moved since its last MOT, the odometer
reads 101,255 miles, this speedo fault has triggered the usual E46 dash light
triplets (ABS,ESC and the handbrake warning light), with the replacement of the
wheel speed sensors and of course new ABS rings courtesy of the new driveshafts,
our vendor says the culprit is most likely a brake in the loom just under the
rear seats (a common fault on the E46 generation).
Looking back through the MOT history we can see the mileage has
gently increased each year, meaning this odometer issue is relatively new.
Coming with MOT until May 2025 with three advisories, for a corroded brake line,
binding rear brake and worn rear tyres, the latter two have obviously been
sorted.
Up for auction as our vendor is
emigrating and so needs to part ways with the majority of his car collection,
this looks to be very enticing at the guide price suggested.
Running and
driving nicely on site.
