Tidy 1.8 supercharged example with air-scarf and leather
interior
Dating from September 2005 this pretty R171 Series
(2nd gen) Mercedes SLK comes to us in 200 Kompressor guise and is finished in
Iridium Silver with folding metal hard-top and sits upon its original 16”
seven-spoke alloy wheels.
Under the bonnet we find the 1.8 litre M271
four-cylinder supercharged petrol engine which develops 161bhp and 240NM of
torque driving the rear wheels via five-speed 5G-tronic automatic transmission
offering the dash to 60mph in around 7.9 seconds and a top speed of
142mph.
Inside, we find a black leather interior, air conditioning,
electric windows, heated seats, electric mirrors, automatic lights, electric
folding roof, original Mercedes Audi-20 sound system, Parktronic, air-scarf,
cruise control/speed limit function and multi-function steering
wheel.
The car shows just 64,000 miles and presents very well with but a
few minor marks as expected from its age and use.
The history file
includes the V5C, the original spec sheet, HPI (clear) print-out and current
MOT, valid until June 2025.
When having its
last MOT it initially failed because of a corroded rear
subframe. Mercedes
main dealer in Stourbridge carried out a factory recall and rectified the
problem and so passed the MOT.
