Description
Smart Royal Blue Spirit with only 72k miles and 16 service
stamps, the last just before the auction; clean MOT; millionaire motoring at a
miniscule price!
Supplied new by
Henlys of Chester in February 1987, this Spirit has covered 72,054 miles and
comes with a good service history comprising 7 stamps in the original service
book and another 9 in a second book, the last in February this year since
when the car has covered no miles. That gives an average service interval of
just 4,500 miles, pretty impressive by any standards.
The service in 1995 was carried out in Monte Carlo which could
indicate the Rolls lived abroad during some part of its life and it would also
explain the August 1996 registration date stated on the V5C.
There are a few invoices for routine upkeep, the most
recent including waxoil treatment underneath in 2021 and refurbished door
cappings in 2020. It has an MOT until March 2025 with no advisories recorded and
there are also 12 old MOTs back to 2013 at 57,568 miles.
The Royal Blue paintwork looks mainly nice and shiny with just some
slight haziness here and there. It rides on a set of the correct Avon
tyres, always a sign of a car that has been looked after. The chrome is in good
shape and the Spirit of Ecstasy mascot retracts as it should so it won't
get pinched.
The Magnolia hide interior is
very tidy with only minor signs of wear, although there is some lacquer flaking
on the dash veneer and centre console. The blue lambswool overmats are still
present in the rear.
Starting promptly and
running very nicely as we have moved it around on site, this stately and
well-historied Spirit will make you look and feel like a millionaire – just
don’t let on how little you actually paid for it!
