second also buying it from Leathwood’s and keeping it for 45 years (1968 – until
his death in 2013).
Detailed maintenance log
during his ownership including engine rebuild by Leathwood’s in 1970 at 37,000
miles to replace a faulty piston.

onwards and carefully stored for extended periods when not in use with invoices
for regular servicing and waxoil treatment.
Lots of bills for
recent maintenance including new inertia-reel front seatbelts in 2021; major
£1,150 service in May 2022 at 76,600 miles; new brake servo in May 2024.
Genuine 77,945 miles, as warranted by correspondence on file and 22
old MOTs from 1968 – 2018 (now MOT-exempt).
Current owner since
March 2021.
Driven over 100 miles to the
sale.
Top spec 110 model with
Weslake head and 2” carb rated at 123bhp with overdrive for relaxed cruising and
100mph+ top speed. One of only 1,534 made.
In summary: A beautifully
preserved P4 with a large history file from new that has been starting instantly
and running like a sewing machine as we have moved it around on site. One of the
nicest we have seen.
