Description
Early 'CC' prefix carb model; converted to RHD and restored
following import from the States in 2001; just one owner since; attractive
looking example on deep dish steel wheels
Dating from 1970, this earlier
Triumph TR6 is a ‘CC’ prefix example denoting it to be a 1969 model, meaning the
2.5 litre straight-six cylinder engine features twin Stromberg carburettors,
allegedly making c.104Bhp when new, driving the rear wheels via four-speed
manual transmission.
Inside this example, we see
what looks to be a re-trimmed interior featuring black vinyl and black carpets
with a smart black vinyl hood and wood veneer trim with 3-spoke steering
wheel.
A skim through the photos
on file (undated) and a look at the underside show the car has been treated
to some significant restorative works and conversion to RHD during our vendor's
tenure. In addition we find only the V5C, showing no former owners to
our vendor.
We also note the fitment of
modern retro-style head lights along with deep dish steel wheels which really
set the car off visually.
Starting promptly, the car
would likely benefit from a carb tune before being enjoyed on the open
roads.
