Description
Restored into its original National Carriers Ltd livery; rare machine
from a small collection of commercial vehicles; attended many shows and rallies
over the years
Nicknamed the ‘New Ford Baby
Artic’, the D300 was originally plated for a gross train weight of 20,500lb and
was powered by a 3,900cc four cylinder diesel engine.
This particular
tractor unit and trailer have formed part of a small collection of commercial
vehicles and it has been restored into its original National Carriers Ltd yellow
and black livery.
Running and driving (although
currently with no working brakes) it shows an unwarranted 64,524 miles and has
visited numerous rallies attracting many a favourable comment we understand - as
it has since it has been parked on our site too.
Might be an ideal
vehicle to transport other classic to events too and looks very appealing at
the guide price suggested here so we think it would be careless not to
bid!
There is a V5C, but
unfortunately any restoration invoices have been lost over the
years.
