Description
Union Jack colour scheme; long advisory-free MOT; cherry bomb
exhaust; lots of fun
Mini 1000 City E offered in its most iconic
livery (red with Union Jack roof), looking sharp with flared arches filled with
chrome five spoke wheels, what’s not to like?
First registered in October
1989, this classic Mini comes with little in the history file, but the MOT
history online shows just 600 miles have been covered in the last three
years, with the latest MOT valid until 15th May 2025 with no advisories
recorded.
Photos on file show that new front wings and a new
windscreen surround were fitted in c.2018. Looking inside we find a very
presentable clean interior, finished with red carpets and black leather seats
alongside contrasting Momo wooden steering wheel. The exterior looks
reassuringly straight, the paintwork is presentable but not up to concours
standard.
Starting promptly and running very nicely on site, the cherry
bomb exhaust gives a great note without being intrusive. A great way to cruise
around this summer with a zippy 1,000cc engine and manual 4-speed gearbox,
classic motoring doesn’t get any more accessible and fun than
this.
