Description
Appealing lady owned 6-speed manual face-lift Audi TT coupe with
225Bhp 1.8 turbo BAM-engine; understood to be re-mapped to Stage-1 (c.270Bhp)
with grey leather interior
Supplied new by
Tonbridge Audi of Kent in December 2003 this later, facelifted Audi TT comes to
us finished in dark Blue and sits upon its original 17” six-spoke alloy wheels
with neat little rear spoiler and twin exit exhausts signifying this to be the
hotter 225 Quattro model.
Under the bonnet, we
find the 1.8-litre BAM turbocharged four-cylinder engine which develops 225bhp
driving all four wheels via six-speed manual transmission. Although the vendor
tells us this example has, he believes been treated to a Stage 1 re-map which
should see it produce c.270Bhp.
Inside, we find
light grey leather, electric windows, electric mirrors, digital climate control,
original premium Audi Concert sound system, heated seats, traction control,
on-board computer and heated rear window.
The
car shows 148,220 miles and presents well given its age and miles with but a few
minor marks to the body as pictured with the interior looking tidy. The digital display has begun to suffer
as they always do but is still legible.
The
history file includes the V5C recording five former keepers to the current, the
service book showing eight stamps inc. PDI, the last in August 2020 at 118,837
miles by The Car Clinic of Glocs.
In addition, we also find three old MOTs, the current MOT valid until
October 2024 with three minor advisories for two tyres (since attended to) and a
minor oil leak plus a selection of bills for works undertaken dating back
to 2010.
Recent works of note include fitment of a pair of rear
shocks, ball joint and CV boot kit in late 2023 along with an uprated
intake pipe, down pipe and de-cat inc. pre-cat 02 sensor plus replacement NSR
wheel bearing in April 2021, replacement coil, battery and cam cover gasket in
2021/2022.
Pleae note, the vendor tells us there is a crack in the
windscreen which appeared after catching a pothole, as
pictured.
Ready to be enjoyed, these MkI TT’s
have really started to come into their own and look to be on the rise in value
and appeal once again.
