Description
Appealing LHD TR6 with CF prefix featuring desirable removable
hard-top; nice interior and deep dish wheels
Dating
from January 1973, this later CF prefix carburettor-fed TR6 is finished in Red
with the optional, and desirable removable hard-top with black vinyl seats and
wears a set of 15” deep dish steel wheels with polished lips which give the car
added muscularity.
Under the bonnet we find the
typical 2.5 litre straight-six engine with carbs, mated to four speed manual
transmission and no optional O/D.
The car looks
to have been imported from the foreign market, most likely the States being LHD,
and was first registered in the UK in August 2020. It looks to be a good, solid
example which has seen restorative works with evidence of a re-paint here and
there as pictured, but still smart and presentable.
The history file includes the V5C showing just one titled keeper
(Lord) since registration, the owner’s handbook, radio manual, sole old MOT
dated October 2020 at 84,946 miles and the current, valid until May 2024
recording just one minor advisory for “track rod end ball joint has slight play
OS & NS” although of course, the car is MOT exempt.
Ready for some spring and summer fun, roof on or roof off, the car
looks and sounds well.

inside the car but no vinyl/fabric roof present)
