Description
From a deceased estate; ex-USA; rare original factory convertible, one
of only around 500 made; imported to the UK in 2015 with all correct
paperwork
This factory-built Mark III
Convertible was one of only 52 examples that was originally painted
in Copper Brown with a red painted
coachline, cream vinyl hood and magnolia
trim.
Thanks to Jensen specialists, The Martin
Robey Group, we have retrieved copies of the original build sheets which imply a
respray after the final inspection, which explains why it is now bright red,
even though we understand from Richard Calver's website that no convertibles
were originally painted in any form of garish red!
Like almost all of these cars, this Convertible found its way to
the States and although we have no record of its early life, the most recent
Certificate of Title indicates it was owned by a Florida gentleman from 2004,
before being imported to the UK through Gullwing Motor Cars in 2015. It has had
just two Hampshire owners since. When sold and imported to the UK in
2015, it was described as running and driving although we believe it has not
been started since.
So, on offer here from a deceased estate,
the car has not been started or driven for a
considerable time. The photographs give a good indication of it's
condition but bidders are encouraged to come and view it for
themselves to establish what work will be required to get it back on
the road.
A US Certificate of Title, NOVA
number and import documents are all included in the file to help with
registration in the UK if required.
