Gorgeous RHD UK-supplied 500; nicely restored with tons of history;
52,500 miles; original spec and rare to find
Sold new through Spur
Garage of Wimbledon, this delightful Blue Scuru (Dark Blue) 500F was first
registered on 15th Jan 1968 to C Ker. It was not long before they sold it to
Jack Andron (the car has been called Jack ever since) who sold it to a couple
living in Fulham in 1987.
They moved to Stroud and eventually sold it in
2010 with 48,000 miles showing, to a lady who kept it garaged until 2016 when it
was sold through ourselves, now with 52,000 miles on the clock. During her
tenure, it received a top end engine overhaul.
Its new owner gave it a
lot of love and attention, spending £1,500 alone on new parts, which included
new bumpers, front and rear lights, indicators, hinges, rubbers, sunroof,
exhaust, a full interior retrim, one new door and much else besides. The
bodywork was restored and the car treated to a glass-out professional
respray.
With all the work done, they couldn't bear to use it so it was
sold once again by Brightwells to the current owner in 2020. They have added
barely 500 miles since then, hence the car is back on the market once
more.
Recent bills on file show a service kit and various seals etc have
been added, so the car has been improved still further, into the fine example we
see today.
Complete with its original handbook and no fewer than 34 old
MOTs to support its mileage, this 500 is in really lovely order and is as cute
as they come.
