Description
Appealing ZZW30 Mk III variant with oxblood interior; just 69,734
miles.
Recently recomissioned with complete brake overhaul,
including discs,pads and callipers.
Dating from June 2001 and supplied by
Waters Toyota of Hemel Hempstead, this earlier ZZW30 3rd generation of MR2
Roadster is finished in black and sits upon its original five-spoke 15inch alloy
wheels and wears an original black vinyl roof.
Mounted in the middle, we
find the proven (and sole engine available) 1.8 litre 1ZZ-FED four-cylinder
engine with DOHC and 16-valves developing 138bhp and 171NM of torque driving the
rear wheels via five-speed manual transmission.
Inside, we find nicely
contrasting two-tone red cloth seats (showing some limited signs of wear as
pictured), black dash, carpets and red sections to the door cards. We also
find electric windows, electric mirrors, digital clock, Sony radio/cassette/CD
player and manually operated vinyl roof with some signs of age (see
images).
Showing just 69,734 miles the car has covered low mileage
for its age, the history file including the V5C recording seven former keepers
to our vendor. In addition, we also find the service book revealing six
stamps, five of which were Toyota plus the most recent in October 2022 at 68,832
miles by T&J Cars of Beaford.
The most recent MOT shows no advisories
and isn’t due to expire until the 11th of October 2024, the MOT history suggests
the car to have been unused, in storage for c.10 years, from
2012-2022.
Driven 150 miles to the sale, these ZZW30 generation
MR2’s offer lots of fun, tight handling, and enough power to have fun yet remain
most usable.
