Lot Ended
Description
From a deceased estate; sound car fitted with a 302 Windsor at
some point; Hurst shifter; later front seats; rocking and
rolling...
Imported from the USA in 2017, this 1968 hard top was
built in San Jose, California with the optional 289ci V8 (4.7-litres).
It
has been used and enjoyed by the vendor's late husband who acquired it as its
second UK owner in 2019, although we have no documention to list any jobs that
he undertook.
The car appears to have been fitted with a larger
302ci (4.9-ltre) Windsor engine at some time and a Hurst shifter for the
auto box. The interior is trimmed in leather and the very comfortable front
seats are from a later car - an MX5 or similar but look in keeping with the
rest.
The paintwork is showing signs of microblistering and we don't
think it has seen much use of late. An online check shows it passed an MOT in
2017 to get it registered with quite a list of advisories, which appear to have
been sorted for its most recent test a year later which showed no advisories -
this expired in July 2019 but it is, of course, now MOT-exempt, free to tax and
Ulez exempt....
At the time of cataloguing, we have had no paperwork
although the vendor has now located the V5C which is being forwarded to us in
time for the sale.
