Description
Huge history file including new gearbox in 2017; long MOT; ready to
enjoy
Registered in July 1985, and supplied new by JCT Brooklands
this handsome 944 comes finished in Guards red and sits upon a set of 17” turbo
style wheels Its power comes from the m44/40, a 2.5 litre four-cylinder engine
mounted up front sending all 161bhp to the rear wheels via a 3-speed automatic
transmission.
An invoice on file from 1990 states the car was at 61,388
miles, the five diget odometer reads 29,718 miles, this is more likely to be
129,718 miles.
Coming from a 7-year ownership this 944 looks in great
nick, the paint work glowing under the lights in our classic garage, there are a
few age-related marks (see photos), the turbo style wheels look super cool and
really set the car off.
The interior has stood the test of time well, the
full leather seats finished in red with contrasting black leather bolsters look
very smart, the instruments including centre console are surrounded with brushed
aluminium accents that pop well against the black dash, Inside we also find
electric mirrors, front fog lights, analogue clock, and cassette
player.
With the sale comes a huge stack of invoices dating right back to
the 80s, the more recent of which show a new gearbox was fitted by Augment
Automotive in September 2017 along with a new gearbox oil cooler, new rear brake
lines and radiator, the new gearbox seemingly underwent a service at Cotswold
Porsche soon after in November 2017, in the previous two years we can see
invoices for two new flywheel sensors and an ignition coil, and in October last
year the car underwent a service and received new window switches courtesy of
APS Automotive in Monmouth.
A great looking classic, ready to be
enjoyed.
