High quality restoration; new interior; nifty
upgrades.
First registered in June 1972, this Snowberry White MGB GT
came into the hands of our vendor in late 2012 to jon their private collection
and was treated to substantial restoration in 2015.
The sizeable list of
invoices shows the great lengths that were taken to get this car back
to rude health, with some subtle upgrades along the way.
The vendor
tells us that a complete new interior was fitted with red upholstery;
the engine was refreshed with new piston rings, valves, gaskets, seals and a new
oil pump, water pump and timing chain. Invoices can be found for a new clutch
with new clutch lines, a full brake system overhaul, all new engine and gearbox
mounts, plus a new radiator and oil cooler too.
Upgrades include a
full stainless exhaust system with a big bore stainless manifold, electric
cooling fan and new centre lock alloy wheels.
The exterior of the car
wasn’t forgotten with new lights fitted all round, all new brightwork, door
handles, wing mirrors locks, badges and front grille as well as what looks to be
a very smart full respray. Under the bonnet the eye for detail continues with
tidy wiring, shiny hardware and fresh paint which make the engine bay
almost good as new - very classy!
Six years on from its
restoration and showing 91,814 miles, this is a most impressive MG all
round and the condition is hard to fault.
