desirable variant of the much-loved Corolla
Supplied new by Colchester Toyota in May 2006, this 9th
Generation Toyota Corolla is known as the E120 version and comes to us in very
rare, and somewhat desirable T-Sport Compressor TTE form. It is understood
to be 1 of just 250 sold in the UK and is finished in dark grey, sits on its
original 17” 20-spoke turbine alloy wheels with discreet badging and has
twin-exit exhausts.
What makes this car special
is what’s under the bonnet, the limited production 1.8 litre 2ZZ-GE 16-valve
DOHC supercharged four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 224bhp driving the
front wheels via six-speed manual transmission.
Inside we find two-tone black and red cloth interior with sports
front seats, electric windows, electric mirrors, digital climate control with
AC, original radio/CD player and traction control.
The car shows 117,033 miles and presents well with a comfortable
interior and throaty exhaust note.
Within the
history file, we find the V5C showing six former keepers to the current, the
owner’s pack and service book revealing eight stamps, the last in April 2015 at
77,141 miles, two old Mots, the current Mot valid until July 2024 recording no
advisories and a few bills.
Bills on file
include purchase of an Aisin clutch kit in October 2021 and Denso AFM in
February 2022 plus operation manual for Meister R adjustable coil-overs which
look to be fitted on the car.
A rare and
desirable car that has a cult and collector following all of its
own.
