Description
Imported from Argentina after being spotted by our vendor about 400km
from Buenos Airies; since then has had a number of repairs, an engine rebore and
a new hood
Presented here is pretty much a
standard Ford Model A, although there has been no shortage of work
done.
Manufactured in 1929 originally, it found
its way to Argentina where our vendor discovered it while visiting some friends
near Buenos Aires. After a significant bureaucratic nightmare, the car was
shipped to the UK and was registered for the road in 2009.
Everything underneath appears to be very clean and tidy, suggesting
considerable work with some new parts fitted.
Beneath the bonnet, we understand from the vendor that the engine
has been re-bored and it seems evident that it has a newly fitted light switch,
modern radiator core, regulator, has been converted to 12 volts and the water
pump seems nicely greased.
Sitting on 21in
wheels, there seems to be full weather gear along with a newly fitted hood, so
all ready for some trialling one would think!
At the time of cataloguing, there is only a V5C with the car.
Although there are no bills on file, it is quite clear a considerable amount of
money has been spent on BF 5260 over the years.
