Description
Only 38,700 miles from new; restored in 2016 with various upgrades
including new leather interior, walnut dash, Hi-Lo suspension etc; engine
rebuilt with dyno sheets showing 48bhp; a smart example of this luxury Limited
Edition Mini
First
registered in June 1986, this smart Mini Piccadilly is one of a limited run of
only 2,500 Piccadilly models made. All were originally finished in Gold with a
brown interior, wheelarch extensions plus a variety of other subtle
upgrades.
This particular example has covered
only 38,725 miles from new, as warranted by 15 old MOTs from 1991 – 2005 when
the car was taken off the road. It comes with notes stating that it was restored
in 2016. The body was stripped and repaired before being repainted in Old
English White with all new brightwork. Both sub-frames were also renewed. The
brakes have all been rebuilt with new calipers and pipes and it has Hi-Lo
suspension, alloy wheels and new tyres.
The
interior was retrimmed with green leather seats, matching door cards and
carpets, walnut dash, Smiths clocks, woodrim steering wheel, new headlining and
additional sound-proofing. It has a Kenwood KDC 3051 CD/radio with West Coast
Customs Orion 10” sub-woofers under the rear seats and a roof-mounted
aerial.
The engine was also stripped and rebuilt, dyno sheets on file
showing that it was rolling road tuned in 2019 and produced 48.7bhp and 56lb/ft
(factory figures were 42bhp and 58lb/ft).
The
car was then put into storage until 2022 when it had a £534 spend to cure an oil
leak which had been an advisory on the 2019 MOT. The last MOT expired on
9th June 2023 with no advisories recorded. The V5C records four
previous owners, the current since 2018, and an owner’s handbook is also
present.
As you can see in the photos, this low
mileage and luxuriously trimmed Mini now looks very smart indeed and has been
starting promptly and running nicely as we have moved it around on site.
