Description
A very nicely presented earlier 4/4 four seater; simple to drive,
cheap to own and loads of fun
The original factory build ticket in
the file confirms this chirpy four seat 4/4 as selling through Phoenix Motors
near Exeter, painted special order Canary Yellow and trimmed with a stone
interior.
They added optional wire wheels, seat belts, a rear bumper,
bonnet strap and tonneau, the car being despatched from the factory on 9th March
1972.
The V5C shows just two previous owners, although we know it lived
in Lithuania for a few years, the car coming back to the UK just a couple of
years ago.
Bills on file show that a set of new wires and tyres were
fitted in 2020, along with a set of new side-screens and hub nuts. These were
supplied by Melvyn Rutter Ltd and shipped to Lithunia for fitting, the bill for
supply totalling nearly £3,300.
It had a recored radiator in 2014
and comes with its original handbook and an MOT until May 2024 with no
advisories, the car showing an indicated 24,870 miles which cannot be
warranted.
Also on file is the original factory Warranty and Parts
information from Power Products (suppliers to the factory of
Ford engines), confirming it was a 1600 GT engine and that the first owner
was a Mr Andrew living in Lincoln.
Ready to enjoy with a young family, or
simply as a touring car with extra luggage space, this is a well-presented
Morgan at an entry-level price.
