1987 Austin Mini Mayfair

Sweet, seldom used Austin Mini; showing just over 55,578 miles; a well kept interior; ripe for use and enjoyment

Dating from February 1987 this charming Austin era Mini Mayfair was sold by us to the vendor in March 2018 since when its seen only very limited use, presenting now much as it did then, in appealing unadulterated order.

Finished in white, the car sits on a set of attractive 12” Minilite wheels and under the bonnet, we find the familiar 998cc A-series inline four-cylinder engine driving the front wheels via four-speed manual transmission.

Showing just 55,578 miles, the interior is much as you might expect, showing minimal signs of wear and age, comfortable and always amazingly spacious and airy.  We find a heated rear screen, single speed fan, choke, fag lighter and manual keep fit windows.

The history file includes the V5C revealing just three former keepers to our vendor, period owner’s pack with manuals and selection of bills including the last documented service in June 2019 at 55,563 miles which included a replacement fan belt and brake cylinder along with a £405 spend in 2017 on some welding and front subframe NS ‘Peardrop mount’ and three old MOTs.  The car’s last MOT expired in July 2020 at which time the car had covered 55,563 miles and recorded no advisories, just 15 miles have passed under its little wheels since then.
