1948 Norman Motobyk

Norman may not have been very good at spelling, but they sure knew how to make a smart little run-around. A dating cert lists its year of manufacture as 1948, paperwork which was used to get it UK registered SXS 526 earlier this year.

A bill on file shows expenditure on the Villiers engine, including an air filter and valve lifter parts. The 98cc engine provides more than sufficient oooomph and its retains a lovely patina.

The Norman Motobyk could be bought for just over twenty quid in 1940, but you will have to dig a little deeper for this one!!
