1985 Citroen 2CV6 Special

Galvanised chassis; showing only 53,500 miles

First registered in May 1985 this well-spec'd 2CV Special shows only 53,500 miles.

At some point in its life it has been fitted with a galvanised chassis. There are photographs on file showing this but no indication of date. Our vendor purchased the car in April this year from Kent and drove it the 250 odd miles to his home in Wales. It was recently driven to us for the auction.

The mileage could well be correct bearing in mind the MOT history goes back to 2007 at a recorded 48,000 miles. The most recent is valid until February next year which did show some advisories regarding wheel bearings and play in track rods. Some wiring work may also need some attending to around the steering shaft.

There are of course some elements of rust on the body but the interior and roof appear to be pretty sound and there are bundles of invoices from approx. 2012 to 2021 on file showing various maintenance including more recently upper and lower bulkhead soundproofing, boot lid and interior lining, electronic ignition, fitting of re-conditioned carburettor, brake set and front/rear shock absorbers.
