1998 Saab 900 S Convertible
No
Reserve
Showing just 62,000 miles with naturally aspirated
2.0 engine and manual 'box from the GM era
Dating
from February 1998 this Saab 900 Convertible hails from the GM era, and is known
as the GM900 or NG for ‘new Generation’ of Saab 900 following GM’s buyout in the
early 90s.
Finished in dark red metallic, the
car boasts a black Mohair electric roof with glass rear screen and sits upon a
set of later model 9-3 five-spoke 17” alloy wheels.
Under the bonnet, we find the B204 naturally aspirated 2.0 litre
four-cylinder engine which develops 128bhp and drives the front wheels here via
five-speed manual transmission.
Inside, we find
cream leather interior which looks to have been re-coloured, electric windows,
electric roof, heated glass rear screen, on-board computer, heated front seats
and Sony face-off radio/CD player.
The car
shows just 62,183 miles and looks to have worn them relatively well with but a
few marks to the rear bumper and some small pin dents as pictured to the
bonnet.
The history file includes the V5C
recording 11 former keepers to the current of a year, a bill for a pair of
wishbone/control arms dated September 2021 and the current MOT, valid until
October 2023 recording no advisories.
Bidders
are advised that the car was recorded Cat-D in 2010 and also previously in
2005. We also found it difficult to
obtain reverse at times because the gear leaver knob seemed loose and thus
will likely need attention, but all forward gears could be found
normally.
On offer at No Reserve, the highest
bid takes this pretty Saab rag-top home.
