1973 MGB GT

In the same ownership since 1991; fully restored during this time with photographic and documentary record - ready to be enjoyed

Dating from November 1973 this lovely example of a BGT has been with our vendor since August 1991 since when he has used and enjoyed the car and also put it through a comprehensive eight year restoration which was completed in May 1999.

Finished in Flame Red, the car sits well with gleaming brightwork, 14” wire wheels shod with Falken tyres and useful Webasto sunroof.

Under the bonnet, we find the venerable 1.8 litre B-series four-cylinder engine driving the rear wheels via four-speed manual transmission with O/D.

Inside, we find a comfortable leather (leatherette) interior, original steering wheel, timber gear-knob, correct crackle black dash finish and neat, radio/cassette/CD player.  The odometer indicates 20,693 miles since the rebuild, which we assume to be 120,693 in total.

The history file is considerable and includes the current V5C, two old style V5's, a wealth of bills and supporting photographs for the eight year restoration along with some 19 old MOTs, current MOT valid until October 2023 without advisory (it is of course MOT exempt however) and further parts catalogues.

Ready to be enjoyed, this lovely BGT presents beautifully and is a testament to the owners time and dedication laboured on the car over 31 years of ownership.
