1990 Rover Mini Mayfair
No
Reserve
AMENDMENT: Extensively restored in 2016; few miles
since; Revolution alloys; great spec
Dating from 1990, this smart
little Cooper 'lookalike' started its existence as a Mini Mayfair. It has
enjoyed a busy life and was given the full treatment between 2015 and 2017
when it was stripped, resprayed and built up using lots of new parts - as
witnessed by the multiple invoices on file from this period.
It
comes with a bespoke dash, flared arches, Cooper graphics, spotlights and
clear rear lenses, as well as numerous other small details.
AMENDMENT: Acquired by the vendor (a
collector) for his children to use, it didn't get driven much once lockdown hit
and his children have now left home. However, the vendor reports regular use in
2019-2020, with the car proving to be reliable, eager and great fun to drive.
The engine ran particularly well and is believed to have been overhauled in the
recent past. An emissions report from 11.12.2020 measured a healthy 280ppm HCs
(against a limit of 1200ppm) and 1.308% CO (against a limit
3.5%).
Its last MOT
expired in January this year and when retested it revealed a “to-do” list fairly
typical for a Mini requiring light recommissioning (with one patch of welding).
The vendor has elected to leave that for the new owner, but believes the car is
fundamentally sound.
Now
in need of a new owner to drive and enjoy the car, it is here to be sold and is
on offer at No Reserve so the highest bid on the day buys the
car.
