1993 Mazda MX-5 Mk I
No Reserve
Set up
for hill climbs with roll cage and Rover V8 engine
Originally registered as a 1993 Mk 1 MX-5 with a 1,600cc engine,
this car is now equipped with a 3.5-litre Rover V8 under the bonnet, roll cage
and obviously an 8 ball gear knob!
Little scratched - yes, well used – yes, covered a few miles – yes,
potentially a lot of fun – definitely.
If a
wolf in sheeps clothing is your thing, this might be for you. Our vendor bought
it in 2018 with the modifications already made but as a garage owner himself, he
replaced the brakes with upgraded parts and put a heavy duty battery in,
centrally located in the boot. Unfortunately there are no bills or explanations
of the mods made so we would recommend coming to have a
look.
Our vendor is of the understanding
that the early V8 fitted is half race tuned with racing camshaft too. He has had
a lot of fun with it and as an MX-5 buff he knows his way round one. Only being
sold due to retirement and deciding to take a slightly slower pace of
life.
Running and driving, with an MOT until
March next year, don’t expect a show pony, but perhaps a growling little
monster.
