1978 MGB Roadster

Well cared-for low-mileage Roadster showing just 52,350 miles; overdrive; leather seats; lots of extras; Ziebart treated from new

First registered on 1st August 1978, this smart red B Roadster has led an easy life. Its first owner acquired the car from Westgate Motors in Wakefield and the original (unstampted) Passport to Service is on file along with its free 1,000 mile service voucher. It was ordered with mud flaps and rear fog lights as aftermarket extras.

Its first of four owners kept the car until 2007, clearly looking after the car very carefully. The original Ziebart underseal guarantee is on file, along with documents showing annual underside pressure washing and checking by Ziebart themselves.

Over the years it had lots of goodies added, including a front spoiler, Moto-Lita steering wheel, two sports recliner seats trimmed in leather, a Falcon stainless exhaust (very rorty) and a padded roll bar. Naylor Brothers supplied the trim kit which included upgraded carpets.

The considerable history file includes 20 MOTs, covering 1986 (by which time it had covered 24,053 miles) to its current ticket which expires May 2022. It has its old-style V5 as well as V5Cs from previous owners. It has changed hands several time recently and is being offered for sale by the vendor due to his advancing years.

Photos on file show it has been fitted with a variety of wheels over the period, starting with Rostyles and ending up on a set of wires. The hubs have been convered as these use the correct Rudge hub and are not the cheaper bolt on variety.

In particularly sound and original order, this attractive Roadster is ready for its new owner to enjoy. The interesting number MLV 8F is included in the sale.
