Description
1972 Land Rover SIII 88"
Earlier Series 3 with
useful recent works including alternator fitment; new delux seats, tyres and
fuel tank
Tidy old Series III dating from February
’73 with the dependable 2.25 litre diesel engine producing 62bhp that’s been
with our vendor for the past few years seeing light use and enjoyment locally.
Cosmetically the Landy looks presentable and was used by Classics World
when on site recently for their auction preview as a feature car for an upcoming
test. The interior features new delux black vinyl seats up front and two benches
in the back with wooden flooring, the truck running around as it should at
the time of our photographs and their feature.
Within the history file
we find the V5C showing 10 previous keepers, 3 old MOTs (its now exempt of
course) and a host of invoices including recently purchased hub oil seal in May
2020, new fuel tank in January 2019, new RH and LH glazed door tops and 4 new
tyres in February 2019, new galvanised front bumper in April 2019, head gasket
set and exhaust sections in May 2020, new RH and LH front chassis legs in May
2019 along with a host of other parts and maintenance bills.
Ready to be
enjoyed, the truck looks an enticing proposition at the guide price and is one
of those vehicles you could quite likely use every day once you got used to the
quirks of an old Land Rover.
