1995 MG RV8

Lovely low mileage JDM spec RV8 imported in 2006 with just 1 UK owner since showing just 26,907 miles

Dating from June 1995, this attractive 3.9 litre Woodcote Green RV8 comes from the end of production (Chassis #001458) and hails from Japan, where 1,500 of the 1,983 produced ended up.  Many have now been re-imported as only c.330 were originally sold in the UK, this fine example being imported and registered here in March 2006 with our vendor being the sole UK owner since.

The car was the best he could find, with just 18,570Km recorded at import and as a later car (post chassis #00604) it features the R380 gearbox with reverse down to the right rather than up to the left as with the earlier LT77S 'box plus air conditioning, a useful JDM benefit but it does reduce passenger footwell space a little. Inside we find the luxurious cream Connolly leather in super order as with the walnut veneer and black mohair soft top with additional chrome luggage rack on the boot lid - ideal for a staycation touring adventure this summer!

Currently showing 15,372 miles, the speedo was changed at import to an MPH version set at zero miles giving a total of just 26,907 miles (15,372 miles + 18,570km or 11,538 miles at import). There are 15 old MOTs on file plus current MOT valid until March 2022 with just two minor advisories for play in both steering rack inner joints.

Also in the history file we find the V5C; a selection of invoices including vehicle purchase in February 2006 for £21,000 with documented speedo change to MPH; new wood veneer; new rear window, windscreen frame and 4x new shocks; new alloy spare wheel; £276 spend on the fitted bootrack and 2x new boot stays in April 2012; new starter motor in October 2009; new clutch master cylinder in September 2006; new RV8 silicone hoses and water pump in February 2018 costing £310 with a further £598 spent on fitment; new sump gasket, crankshaft rear seal and sump plug washer in August 2018 and major service in February 2018 costing £387 at 15,056 miles. 

Most recently, the car was serviced in February 2021 at a cost of £287 including new brake fluid and MOT at 15,369 miles. Further invoices are also on file for other annual services and sundry items. Also included are a spare ignition key, owner's manual in Japanese, CD changer handbooks, Japanese service book and Japanese export certificate.

RV8's have continued to grow in popularity and value with low mileage examples such as this in high demand. .
