2006 Rover 75 V8 Connoisseur SE

Late registration 4.6 V8 auto Rover version with just three owners and 53,373 miles - a rare beast indeed

A rare car when new, being one of just 900 4.6-litre 75 V8s produced, it is a particularly late registration given the factory closed in 2005 and this one wasn't registered until the following summer in July 2006.

Our vendor, the third owner, purchased it in 2018 from its second owner of 11 years. The car presents well having covered just 53,373 miles and is in top Connoisseur SE spec with automatic transmission, finished in silver with charcoal leather interior piped cream with light walnut trim, heated electric memory seats, cruise control and GPS navigation.

The history file includes the current V5C, old style V5, owner's pack and service book showing an impressive 13 stamps, all by the same independent specialist, Peter M. Farrow of Buxton bar the first, by Clifton Lane Ltd, Rover & MG Specialists. There is also an additional PDI stamp from supplying dealer SMC Ford of Slough in July 2006.

The last stamped service was in May 2018 at 51,933 miles, so it could well be due a service in respect of time rather than mileage. In addition to this, we see 10 old MOT certificates and a host of invoices for work undertaken dating right back to its first service.
Of note, we see a new heater control valve fitted in August 2018 at 52,571 miles along with new rear discs, pads and 2 track rod ends. Four new boots were fitted, Bridgestone Potenzas in August 2018 at a cost of £257.24 in addition to the 4x alloy wheel refurbishment undertaken at the same time costing £240.  A new radiator was also fitted in 2017 along with a new coil spring in 2013 in addition to routine service work undertaken.

RX06 comes with a current MOT running until October 2021 with 2 advisories recorded and represents an appealing opportunity to acquire an increasingly rare and desirable Rover version of this 260bhp rear-wheel drive 4.6 Mustang powered saloon.
