2005 Continental GT in very impressive condition throughout; showing
just 48,443 miles; no advisory MOT until May 2027; the car you always promised
yourself; plate to be auctioned seperately
Introduced in
2003, the first-generation Bentley Continental GT marked a new chapter for the
British marque, combining traditional Bentley luxury with modern engineering and
genuine grand touring performance. Powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12
engine producing 552bhp and paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox and
permanent four-wheel drive, the Continental GT offered formidable performance
alongside exceptional refinement.
Registered in
2005, this exceptionally smart example has covered just 48,443 miles with only
three former keepers. It is accompanied by an MOT valid until May 2027, with no
advisories recorded at its latest test. Indeed, the car’s entire MOT history
features just a single advisory, relating to one tyre, a particularly
encouraging record for a car of this age.
Finished in
‘Beluga’ black over a matching black leather interior, this Continental GT
presents in impressive condition throughout, with very few imperfections to
note. The interior is particularly well preserved and appears entirely
consistent with the car’s low mileage and limited ownership. The contrasting
silver alloy wheels also present well, having been subject to a full
refurbishment in 2022 as evidenced by an invoice on file.
Importantly for
a car costing £112,750 when new, this Continental GT is accompanied by an
impressive 11-stamp service history and a substantial folder of invoices. Ten of
the service stamps are from Bentley main dealers, with the most recent service
carried out approximately 7,000 miles ago by Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialists
Starman’s of Nottingham.
More recently,
in 2025, the car was subject to a comprehensive health check by respected
Bentley specialists GT Services of Cheshire, resulting in expenditure of £9,389.
Work included a new battery, rear brake components including a replacement
calliper, exhaust gas temperature sensors and two new front air spring dampers.
Two further invoices from GT Services document an overhaul of the power steering
system and an engine service in 2022, at a combined cost of approximately
£1,700.
A further folder
of invoices is also present, documenting an extensive history of maintenance and
expenditure too lengthy to detail in full but available to view in
person.
Bidders should note that we
are currently unable to open the boot. The motor can be heard working but is not
releasing.
In summary, a
highly maintained and desirably specified Continental GT, boasting low mileage,
limited ownership and offered at a highly competitive estimate. With
increasingly well-preserved first-generation examples becoming harder to find,
this well-documented Bentley presents as a particularly compelling
proposition.
