  • Vehicles: General Yard Operative

    Madley (HR2 9NH)

    Duties include:

    General Yard Operative

    The Job
    •    Moving vehicles around the yard
    •    Assisting customers and others around the yard and handing over vehicles
    •    Cleaning vehicles and removing livery
    •    Jump starting vehicles
    •    Light yard maintenance duties
    •    Other duties to aid the set-up of our regular vehicle auctions
    •    Monitor, report and uphold all Health & Safety Legislation and processes on site

    The Person
    •    This role is a varied position within an existing team. Work required may be indoors or outdoors.
    •    Operation of small tools and a pressure washer will be required.
    •    Basic mechanical knowledge an advantage
    •    Good driving skills, confident and competent in vehicles of varying sizes

    The Requirements
    •    We are looking for motivated, organised people who love a challenge
    •    Ideally you should be an experienced Yard Worker with a ‘can do’ attitude
    •    Ability to take instruction as well as work on own initiative and follow Health & Safety legislation
    •    Previous experience is desirable but not essential
